Belonging to a dog club has advantages! I take the pup with me to meet other dog savvy people who are eager to hold the puppy. Puppy goes to club and board meetings, training sessions, plus family gatherings as possible.

  2. Megan says:

Everywhere I could take them I did. Every dog class (even if too young to join), parks, pet stores (even if not purchasing anything), ect. Every dog, person, and child would and is asked if they can meet.

Both my girls are TDI Therapy Dogs. Socialization is vital for a mentally well adjusted dog. I took mine everywhere I could to meet and greet. Brought yummy treats (chicken) and let everyone hold them- post office- peops. in uniform, men with beards, hats, glasses, different ethnicities at Pet stores, kids, babies, cats, etc, etc, etc. Have Fun socializing! :-)
