Congratulations to AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluator Don Ethridge of the Tyler Obedience Training Club and his class of graduates! Don’s students became S.T.A.R.s at the Lucky Dog Training Center in Tyler, Texas on August 9th.
Don says that the owners decided to put their dogs through the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program so they could really start to socialize their puppies and learn how to communicate with them. All of the puppies brought their personalities to the class, and Dillon in particular — the youngest in the class at 8 weeks old — was fearless and loved playing with all of his classmates. At least three of the graduates have already signed up for continued training.
Let’s give a big shout out to the dogs and owners for a job well done!

I’d love to learn more about your graduating classes. If you’re a CGC or AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluator or your dog is a CGC/S.T.A.R. grad, “like” CGC on Facebook and post photos of your class. Don’t forget the particulars about your students — names, ages, breeds, owners’ names, when and where the test took place, and fun stories about your class or interesting challenges your students overcame so everyone can learn from your experiences — and I’ll try to feature your class in a post!
Why did you decide to put your dog through the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program? Share with everyone in the comments.
